SUBANG JAYA, June 29 — Here is some good news for Proton owners: as part of its CSR activities, Proton is offering a free 20-point inspection for Proton owners during the Hari Raya season 2016. This initiative is in collaboration with Petronas, which is also offering their Petronas Coffee Break campaign.

The free safety inspection is valid from July 2-4 2016 from 9am to 7pm daily. In line with the expansion of the Petronas Coffee Break campaign to more Petronas stations, the Proton team will be stationed at 10 different stations in Selangor, Kedah, Penang, Melaka, Johor, Pahang and Kelantan.

"We were only present at five Petronas stations in 2015 for this safety awareness initiative by Proton and due to the increased awareness among Proton owners, we were able to expand the safety inspection services to seven Petronas stations during the Chinese New Year festive season last February.

"Thanks to the support and trust in us, Petronas has further expanded our reach to 10 Petronas stations this time, so that we are able to provide the free safety inspection to more Proton owners, especially those who frequent major highways for their balik kampung journey. In fact, to those who are not on their way to their kampung can also take advantage of this quick inspection to ensure that your Proton car is in a tip-top condition,” said Dato’ Ahmad Fuaad Kenali, Chief Executive Officer of Proton.

The 20-point safety inspection include checks on the brake system, suspension, tyres, battery, wiper blades, belts, lighting and also fluid levels such as engine oil, brake fluid, coolant and wiper washer. In the spirit of festivities, Proton owners will also be given a goodie bag each with a pack of kuih and mineral water as a token of appreciation for the support.
