ZURICH, June 23 — The electric racecar “Grimsel” was developed by students at ETH Zurich and Hochschule Luzern universities in Switzerland.
Yesterday, the Academic Motorsports Club Zurich (AMZ) and Formula Student competition published a video showing the record-breaking acceleration of “Grimsel”, going from 0 to 60 in 1.513 seconds and reaching 60 mph within 100 feet at the Dübendorf Air Base in Switzerland.
Thirty students participated in the creation of the electric racecar, which beat the previous record by two-tenths of a second. The car was developed as part of the Formula Student competition, which has been running since 1981. — AFP-Relaxnews
