PARIS, Jan 20 — Citroen’s standalone luxury marque is going after the Mini and the Audi A1 with its new-look compact hatchback and convertible models.

The new car, officially revealed yesterday evening in Paris has a much stronger design language reminiscent of the new DS4 and DS5, plus a sharper, accented front grille.

And behind that new nose, will sit a choice of seven different engines ranging from hyper efficient three-cylinder units to a very potent 205bhp 1.6-litre motor.

The cabin is also suitably upgraded and there’s a greater emphasis on connectivity thanks to a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports iOS and Android smartphones.

However, one thing that hasn’t changed is the huge potential for personalisation, the feature that made the original such an innovative and appealing car.

“Refined, high-tech and high-performance, the stylish Parisian car appeals to customers looking for expressiveness, personalisation and motoring thrills. This sparkling model expresses an ‘art de vivre’ in town and country alike,” said Yves Bonnefont, CEO of DS Automobiles. — AFP-Relaxnews
