DETROIT, Jan 20 — Yesterday, Chevrolet announced the first details, including initial renderings of the 2016 Silverado Realtree edition pickup, which goes on sale this spring.

The limited edition will boast special camouflage graphics on the outside and Realtree logos embroidered on the inside.

As one might expect from a pickup inspired by on of the world’s leading camouflage companies many of the typical Silverado external details have been subverted.

The Chevrolet bowtie badge and body trim are black, rather than chrome finished and this is in addition to some under-body upgrades including monotube shocks, an undercarriage shield and locking differential to ensure it can head off the beaten track and stay inconspicuous while doing so.

“The capability of Chevy trucks has always enabled customers to go where they want to go and that’s the inspiration for the new Silverado Realtree Edition,” said Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet Truck Marketing.

“Personalised for the outdoorsman, this great-looking, very capable Silverado offers another choice for customers looking for a truck with style, capability and dependability.” — AFP-Relaxnews
