NEW YORK, Dec 19 ― With CES 2016 on the horizon, an upgraded myChevrolet app has been unveiled, along with its ability to access several key functions at distance, including engine, headlight, and door control.

The myChevrolet and OnStar RemoteLink apps are to be combined for 2016, meaning that drivers need use just a single app to request roadside assistance, parking reminders, owner's manual content and more.

The overhaul also allows Chevrolet to build on a single platform instead of managing updates across two separate apps.

“By integrating OnStar RemoteLink features into the myChevrolet app, we're creating a one-stop-app for owners to manage their vehicle with one user profile and unified log-in,” said Chevrolet's Vice President of Marketing, Paul Edwards.

Tire pressure, oil life and fuel range data can also be viewed from the app, while a tweaked my.chevrolet.com website will let customers track vehicle service histories and schedule maintenance appointments.
