KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 — This short video shows how a small group of very considerate drivers all act in unison to help smoothen the traffic flow.

This happened at the Damansara Utama exit ramp on the way out towards Exit 106 Damansara. At the top of the ramp, there is a T-junction with a traffic light for motorists who want to turn right towards Centre Point Bandar Utama.

Also at the top of the ramp, there is a left turn for motorists that want to turn to the left of the ramp.

Videograb shows considerate drivers keeping to the right in order not to block motorists that want to take the left turn at Damansara Utama exit ramp.

The lanes are not that wide, and usually, during rush hour, the people who want to turn left often get jammed behind other drivers who want to turn right, but end up blocking the access to the left turn.

In this particular instance, the entire line of drivers who are on the left lane are keeping conscientiously to the right-most part of the lane, and although there is no official left lane for those who want to turn left, the action by that group of conscientious drivers resulted in a clear path for those who want to turn left.

I have seen this happen many times, and this time I had a camera handy to video it.

Ideally, the authorities should have included a left lane for turning left, but they didn’t.
