STUTTGART, July 31 — Can you smell what this EV is cooking? Rubber, that’s what.

A team of students from the University of Stuttgart has just built and raced the world’s fastest accelerating electric vehicle in the world! While the car itself may not look much, it’s set a world record for acceleration from a standstill to 100km/h in 1.779 seconds, putting the likes of the Bugatti Veyron and Porsche 918 to shame.

According to Electric Autosport reports, the 100kW all-wheel drive vehicle weighs 160kg and is powered by four motors and a 6.62kWh battery package, generating 134 horsepower.

Suck on that, Bugatti.
