Peugeot launches music platform to target younger drivers
Malay Mail

PARIS, May 27 — Open to anyone with an internet connection, the French car manufacturer’s web radio service aims to share and promote Peugeot’s values through music. Peugeot Music is available from any terminal, including connected cars, and can be used by anyone, not just the brand’s clients.

With this marketing initiative, Peugeot hopes to offer users a unique musical experience while positioning itself as hip in the eyes of younger consumers. Accessed from a PC, smartphone or tablet, the service proposes playlists designed to reflect the brand’s DNA. Among the artists featured are emerging talents as well as more well-known names (Amy Winehouse, Selah Sue, Snow Patrol, Lorde and others).

Users have the option of creating an account within the Peugeot Music community for access to exclusive concerts and content, including artist interviews.

From June 2014, the service will be available on the Peugeot 108 city car via the Mirror Screen system, which transforms a 7-inch dashboard screen into an interface for controlling a smartphone and all of its apps.

Reinforcing its link with the music scene, Peugeot has chosen the song “Gun Shot” by Swedish singer Lykke Li for the upcoming Peugeot 108 campaign.
