KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 2 — Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia expects to open another seven Sales, Service and Spare Parts (3S) centres by March next year.
Mitsubishi Motors operates 41 3S centres and 58 showrooms throughout Malaysia at present.
Its Chief Executive Officer Tetsuya Oda said with more 3S centres established, the company can further build the Mitsubishi brand presence in Malaysia, to increase market share in the country’s automotive industry.
“The opening of the 3S centres in Malaysia shows our commitment to the country’s automotive industry.
“We also expect to increase market share to four per cent by end March next year from the current two per cent,” he told reporters after launching the 58th Mitsubishi Motors Showroom here today.
He said Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia aims to achieve more than 14,000 in total sales of its brands, including the Mirage Eco Car, Lancer GT and newly launched Attrage by March next year.
Commenting on the Attrage, Tetsuya said the car is set to build on the success of the Mirage compact hatchback launched a year ago, and also bring Mitsubishi into a new segment for compact sedans in Malaysia.
“Mitsubishi Motors will not stop at the Attrage. We will continue to introduce new models with eco-friendly technologies, which promote a smarter and more fuel efficient driving experience in the near future,” he added. — Bernama
