“This is part of our corporate social responsibility initiatives, and also a way for us at JKSB to extend our gratitude and appreciation to our users, especially to those who have been using the bridge since its opening last year,” he said in a statement here today.

As of October this year, more than 3.8 million vehicles have used the bridge.

An average of 12,000 vehicles use the bridge daily and the number is expected to grow by at least 20 per cent by the first quarter of next year when the elevated Bayan Lepas Expressway in Batu Kawan is completed. — Bernama
