KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 26 — Federal opposition party DAP said today it will be represented by 10,000 members at the three simultaneous Bersih 4 rallies across the country this weekend, but added that its flag will not be displayed publicly in accordance with the organiser’s wish.

National organising secretary Anthony Loke said most of the party members will participate in the rally for the full 34 hours from Saturday afternoon to Sunday midnight.

“As requested by Bersih organisers, we will not any use party flag.

“Every leader and DAP members will be asked to wear yellow, adhering to the Bersih 4.0 theme,” he told reporters at the party headquarters.

He said that this rally is an assembly for Malaysians regardless of political party, race and religion.

The Seremban MP said DAP leaders will gather on Jalan Sultan near the Pasar Seni LRT at 1pm on Saturday. They will then head ver to Dataran Maybank at 1.30pm, then to the vicinity of Dataran Merdeka at about 2pm.

Party adviser Lim Kit Siang said the police should focus on cooperating with Bersih 4 organisers and secruity personnel to ensure provocateurs would not disrupt the peaceful assembly.

“Let the successful holding of Bersih 4 overnight rally be the beginning of a national healing process to recover from the multitude of political, economic, good governance and nation-building crisis,” he said.
