Shots fired, suspects in attempted gold heist at PJ’s Atria mall arrested

KUALA LUMPUR, May 18 — Shots from a shootout following an attempted gold heist were heard at Atria Shopping Gallery in Petaling Jaya this afternoon.

Police were seen escorting several handcuffed men out of the mall and it is understood that at least one person was killed after a standoff with police outside the building.

Selangor police chief Commissioner Datuk Mazlan Mansor has confirmed the incident.

Police and forensic investigators are currently still at the scene.
