KUALA LUMPUR, May 17— Fujifilm just launched its latest analog Instax camera, and it shoots in a charming square format.

The Instax Square SQ6 is a more affordable alternative to the analog/digital hybrid Square SQ10. While it doesn’t offer digital features, it still provides a 1:1 aspect ratio with photos in a 2.4-inch by 2.4-inch square format.

For selfie lovers, you can use the little mirror in front of the lens as well as a special mode to ensure your selfies look good.

There’s also auto-exposure control to keep your Instax photos correctly exposed, with a sensor that also adjusts shutter speed according to available light.

To add more spice to your photos, the camera also comes with orange, purple and green filters you can use to fit over the flash.

There’s also a double exposure mode to superimpose two images on one film, a macro mode for close-ups as well as a landscape mode.

Fujifilm is selling the camera now in a special “early bird” package that will include a suede case, as well as a twin pack of plain square Instax film as well as a CR2 rechargeable battery, all for RM598.
