MPS, MPN merge as Seremban City Council, says MB

NILAI, April 20 — Negeri Sembilan Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan tonight officiated the soft launch of the merger between the Seremban Municipal Council (MPS) and Nilai Municipal Council (MPN) to be known as the Seremban City Council (MBS).

He said the merger came after the administrative and staff operations, as well as issues were completed within eight months from last year.

“I hope the MBS will see a more efficient administration and better services to our customers.

“In addition, the state government has also recommended to the federal government to set up another UTC (Urban Transformation Centre) in Nilai,” he said in his speech at Dataran Nilai here tonight.

Also present were State Secretary Datuk Seri Mat Ali Hassan and Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Jalaluddin Alias.

MBS is expected to operate at a building in Rahang which used to house a hypermarket, with the Finance, Information Technology and Management units to be placed under one roof. — Bernama
