IPOH, April 19 — The Perak Barisan Nasional (BN) will take stern action against any leader or member attempting to sabotage candidates selected to represent a component party in the 14th General Election (GE14).
Its chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir said the state BN would not compromise with any party member who resorted to such action as it could affect the image and credibility of the coalition.
“We are monitoring those who are doing or trying to do these things,” he told a press conference held after attending the handing-over ceremony of titles to participants of the Cluster Agriculture Scheme at the Chemor Community Hall here today.
An incumbent people’s representative in Perak was recently reported to have been sabotaged by irresponsible parties through the WhatsApp application.
Zambry said he wanted the Perak BN leadership and members to respect all decisions made on the chosen candidates, either for the parliament or state seats. — Bernama
