Cops say close to solving riddle of bones found in Negri Sembilan forest

SEREMBAN, April 16 — Police are confident of resolving the case of bone finds in the forest, 8th Mile, Jalan Sungai Gadut, Senawang and an oil palm plantation in Jalan Seremban-Mantin recently.

Negri Sembilan deputy police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said investigations so far have been very positive and was confident the case would be solved soon and any development in the case would be announced in a press conference on Wednesday.

He was speaking to reporters after a goodwill gathering and a Telekom Malaysia cable theft prevention appreciation ceremony.

The media had earlier reported findings of bones at the two locations believed to be linked to the arrest of secret society members earlier this month.

Meanwhile Azhar said the joint effort between police and TM had been effective in curbing cable thefts from 265 cases in 2015 to 136 cases in 2017.

“TM is rewarding RM1,000 to anyone who provide information which lead to the arrest of the culprits,” he said. — Bernama
