Malay Mail journalist launches ‘Unapologetic’ book

KUALA LUMPUR, April 14 — Malay Mail’s assistant news editor and columnist Boo Su-Lyn launched today a new book today at a fun event featuring a stand-up comedian.

Titled Unapologetic, the 313-page book published by Gerakbudaya Enterprise contains a collection of 71 essays on Malaysia previously published in the newspaper.

The 31-year-old is known from Kuala Lumpur is for her straight-talking pieces.

“I do not believe in lying to my readers and I do not believe in tailoring my writing to be socially acceptable,” she said at the launch held at Bobo, a restaurant and jazz lounge here.

The book retails at RM35 a copy and will be available at major bookstores.
