GEORGE TOWN, April 11 — The Penang Barisan Nasional (BN) will announce its manifesto for the 14th general election (GE14) this Sunday.
Its chairman, Teng Chang Yeow, said the final draft of the manifesto was ready but some details had to be refined before it was made public.
“We will launch the manifesto themed “Save Penang” in the presence of all the state BN component party leaders this Sunday at one of the hotels in Seberang Jaya.
“Among the highlights of the 16-page manifesto will be housing, flood and traffic issues currently faced by all Penangites,” he told Bernama when contacted here today.
He added that the Penang BN manifesto was aligned to the BN national manifesto’s themed “With BN for a Greater Malaysia” and took into account matters pertaining to the welfare of the people and economic growth of the state.
“It will be a people-centric manifesto and we are sure that we are able to keep our promises if we win,” he said.
Yesterday, the Election Commission announced nomination for April 28 and polling for May 9 in GE14 while early voting is on May 5. — Bernama
