LOS ANGELES, April 11 — Swedish singer-songwriter Lykke Li has offered up a taste of new music with the release of a mysterious video clip titled “so sad so sexy.”
With a number of festival appearances scheduled in the coming months, Lykke Li has appeared poised to release new music for some time, even revealing as much in a March 14 tweet that promised, “Brand new Lykke songs coming soon.”
The artist’s last album, I Never Learn, dates back to 2014, since which time Li has created songs for several soundtracks and created the supergroup Liv.
With this new video, the singer’s new music appears close to release, although the mysterious teaser reveals little in the way of details about what might be in store. Li is featured in a variety of places and poses in the video, which is set to instrumental music and ends with the words “so sad so sexy,” with a line drawn through the second word.
Li’s summer tour schedule is jam-packed, starting with a May 25 appearance at the BBC’s Biggest Weekend in Belfast. From there she’s set to play All Points East in London, Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Lollapalooza in Chicago, Sziget Festival in Budapest and many more festivals through August 12. — AFP-Relaxnews
