KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 — Two teenage trainees from the National Skills Development Centre in Serendah, Hulu Selangor, were arrested for allegedly sodomising and molesting their fellow course-mates last November.
The two suspects, aged 14 and 17, were arrested this morning after their victims shared their horror stories of the sexual assaults during a counselling session at the development centre.
Hulu Selangor police chief Supt Lim Bak Phai said the victims had gone for the counselling session on Monday afternoon, where they supposedly related their ordeal to a community welfare officer.
“The victims, aged 14 and 16, recounted to the welfare officer how they were allegedly sodomised by the two suspects, who were staying with them, last November.
“They claimed it took place in a bushy area, behind a workshop at the development centre,” he said.
Lim said the welfare officer then reported what he had been told to the centre’s principal, who lodged a police report yesterday afternoon.
He said police acted on the report and arrested the duo at 2am.
The suspects have been placed in police remand for seven days.
The victims, meanwhile, were sent to the hospital for medical evaluation, while the case is being investigated for committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature without consent, and for using criminal force on a person with intent to outrage their modesty.
