KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 15 — Bursa Malaysia opened steadier in early trading today, tracking on positive Wall Street cues with better-than-expected 2017 Malaysia’s gross domestic product-boosting sentiments, dealers said.
At 9.02am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was 6.49 points higher at 1,841.42 after opening 5.80 points better at 1,840.73 from yesterday’s close of 1,834.93.
Gainers led losers 139 to 56, while 108 counters were unchanged, 1,589 untraded and 20 others suspended.
Turnover stood at 45.47 million shares worth RM21.26 million. — Bernama
