LOS ANGELES, Feb 13 — Legendary Metallica guitarist James Hetfield has signed on to star in the upcoming Ted Bundy biopic Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.

According to Deadline, he will play the role of “no-nonsense” Utah highway patrol officer called Bob Hayward.

Hayward was the first officer to arrest the serial killer — who will be played in the movie by Zac Efron — in 1975 after he pulled Bundy over on a highway.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile is directed by Joe Berlinger, who also co-produced and directed the Metallica documentary Metallica: Some Kind of Monster.

The upcoming film is currently in production. No release date has been set at time of writing.
