KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 7 ― The Felda United squad retained the top spot at the 2018 Premier league standings after a 6-2 victory against the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) in the second action of the league at the Hang Jebat Stadium, Melaka, last night.

The second consecutive win by the The Fighters squad saw them collecting six points.

Brazilian import Gilberto Valdenesio Fortunato became Felda United's hero after a hattrick shot in the ninth minute, 43rd minute and 72nd minute.

Three more goals were scored by team captain Muhammad Shukor Adan in the 40th minute, Ahmad Syamim Yahya (50th minute) and Filipino import Iain Ramsay in the 55th minute.

The PDRM however managed to reduce their deficit via Romanian import player Petrisor Voinea at the 74th minute and Khairul Izuan Abdullah eight minutes later.

Penang won their first win after a slim 2-1 victory over newcomer UKM FC at Batu Kawan Stadium, Penang.

Mohd Azinee Taib fired two goals for the Harimau  Kumbang squad at the 24th minute and 74th minute before  Mohd Faidzol Fazreen Shamsudin reduced the goal deficit for UKM FC at the 88th minute.

Three more Premier League action were between Kuantan FA and MIFA at the Selayang Municipal Council Stadium, Terengganu FC II and Sarawak at Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium, Kuala Terengganu as well as the match between Felcra FC and Sabah at the Shah Alam Stadium which ended with a draw. ― Bernama
