KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 16 — Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar received a replica of iconic foot-powered car shown in The Flintstones cartoons from the Pahang royal house yesterday.

According to a Berita Harian report, however, the replica will not require the Sultan to pedal his way around as it includes an engine, a canvas roof and rear windows to allow it to be driven in tropical weather.

The cartoon vehicle, as depicted in Hanna Barbara series, is powered “manually” by the titular character, Fred Flintstone, who would use his feet to propel the car.

The report said the gift was presented by Datuk Manjit Abdullah, a representative of Pahang Regent and Crown Prince Tengku Abdullah Ahmad Shah.

It added that The Flintstones was a favourite cartoon of the Johor Sultan.
