Report: Actor walking shirtless before he was taken to police station

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 12 ― Actor Datuk Farid Kamil who was arrested yesterday for assaulting a traffic policeman and a civilian at the Kota Damansara police station had also assaulted a man who gave him a lift to the police station.

Harian Metro reported a 34-year-old man lodged a police report claiming that Farid had slapped his cheek and kicked in his stomach and his private part as soon as they arrived at the police station.

The man said that he found Farid without a shirt at the roadside and took him to a nearby restaurant where he borrowed clothes from the restaurant owner for Farid to wear before taking him to the police station.

He said Farid was behaving weirdly when they were on their way to the police station.

He was taking pictures of himself using his mobile phone and trying to hold the car steering.

The man said as soon as they arrived at the police station, Farid began to assault him before he attacked the police personnel at the counter.

Another person who witnessed the incident, Azizi Ibrahim, claimed that he saw Farid who was shirtless walking aimlessly near Tropicana Kota Damansara about noon yesterday.

Azizi who was on his way to Bandar Utama said Farid’s action was captured on his dashboard camera.
