KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 11 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak on Tuesday launched the placement of Tabung Haji (TH) logo at four Malaysian pilgrims’ accommodation buildings in Medina.
TH in a statement said the placement of its official logo on the buildings followed the 10-year lease agreement with the Al-Rawda Investment for Real Estate Development & Project Management Ltd (Al-Rawda).
“The logo will further promote TH brand among the international community as one of the best organisations in managing haj operations and it will also enable Malaysian haj pilgrims to easily identify their accommodation buildings,” it said.
Also present at the ceremony were Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom, TH Group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Johan Abdullah, as well as Al-Rawda chairman Dr Mashhoor Ali Al Madodi.
Meanwhile, TH chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim in his speech said the long-term lease agreement would bring about positive impact on TH as it would curb the annual increase of accommodation costs.
“Since its inception five decades ago, TH has succeeded in fulfilling the objective of helping and safeguarding the welfare of pilgrims in performing the fifth pillar of Islam,” said Abdul Azeez.
Najib, who also took a tour of the rooms that would be occupied by the Malaysian pilgrims during this year’s haj season, expressed his satisfaction with the services and facilities provided by TH.
