LOS ANGELES, Nov 2 — Days after being accused of sexual misconduct, actor Kevin Spacey has revealed that he will “seek treatment and evaluation”.
Anthony Rapp, star of Star Trek: Discovery, last week revealed that Spacey made at pass at him when he was a minor aged 14 in 1986. Spacey and Rapp were both in Broadway shows at the time and Rapp was invited to a party at Spacey’s apartment.
Since then, three other men have come forward with similar allegations against Spacey. They include an American filmmaker and a barman from London.
In light of the allegations, Netflix Inc issued a statement saying that it has indefinitely halted the production of highly acclaimed political drama House of Cards, in which Spacey starred as now ex-President Francis Underwood.
Spacey was also due to receive the 2017 International Emmy Founders Award, but the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences said in a statement earlier that “in light of recent events it will not honour Kevin Spacey” as planned.
