KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 21 — Barisan Nasional (BN) components met in a closed-door meeting at the Putra World Trade Centre today to discuss preparations for the 14th general election.

BN chairman Datuk Seri Najib Razak addressed party leaders attending what was described as the largest ever such retreat for the coalition.

Among senior BN leaders present included Umno vice president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai, Gerakan president Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong, and SUPP president Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian.

Malaysia must hold its next general election by August 2018.
