SEOUL, June 20 — Girls’ Generation might have been keeping a low profile of late, but it seems that’s all about to change.

The K-pop group are celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, and agency SM Entertainment have confirmed the release of a commemorative album in August.

There are also plans to organise a fan meet that same month.

The album will be the first by the now eight-member group since 2015’s Lion Heart.

Jessica Jung left Girls’ Generation in September 2015, shortly after its release.

It’s likely that the group’s comeback date will coincide with their debut anniversary date: August 3, 2007, which saw the release of the then-nine-member group’s first single Into the New World.
