KUALA LUMPUR, May 17 — The Selangor administration will remain unaltered as Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali has not communicated any need for changes, said the Selangor Sultan's private secretary.
Datuk Mohamad Munir Bani said Azmin has also not sought an audience with Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.
“Until this moment, the palace has not received any official letter from the state government. I am also made to understand that Azmin is currently abroad,” he told the Sinar Harian news portal.
The status of three PAS executive councillors is under scrutiny following the Islamist party's move to sever ties with Azmin's PKR.
The three and their party insist they are entitled to remain as excos, adding that they served at the Sultan's pleasure and Azmin was not authorised to remove them without royal consent.
Azmin is being pressured to replace the three PAS assemblymen as response to the Islamist party's move to cut ties and attack PKR.
PKR yesterday directed its representatives in Kelantan to resign from their positions in the state’s local councils.
