KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 — Makeup lovers, you’re going to want to sit up and take note of Urban Decay’s Jean-Michel Basquiat collection as it combines the worlds or art and beauty like you’ve never seen before!
This special-edition collaboration was inspired by famed artist Basquiat’s artwork (he pioneered the neo-expressionist movement), right from the colours to the shade names and the packaging that features small reproductions of his signature style.
The collection features three exclusive shades of Vice Lipstick, a Gallery Blush Palette, three 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencils and two different eyeshadow palettes: The Gold Griot Eyeshadow Palette and Tenant Eyeshadow Palette.
The all-new lipsticks of course contain UD’s proprietary Pigment Infusion System and for this collection, each lipstick cap features a canvas printed with Basquiat’s art. We’re leaning heavily on medium pink purple shade Exhibition and there’s also a neutral sienna called Epigram and nude-taupe Abstract.
The Gallery Blush Palette includes two shades of blush, a bronzer and a highlighter. The versatile shades work on any skin tone and the long-lasting Afterglow formula delivers eight hours of wear so you won’t have to worry about reapplying all the time.
Meanwhile, the three colourful liners are inspired by Basquiat’s paintings and have been designed to look like art pencils. The creamy, waterproof liner is available in a bright neon green shade with a hint of pearl (Post Punk), a bright teal matte (Vivid) and a sienna matte (Anatomy).
As is with all UD eyeshadow palettes, each shade features the proprietary Pigment Infusion System that offers a rich, velvety and blendable colour that lasts. The Tenant Eyeshadow Palette features eight exclusive bright shades while the Gold Griot Eyeshadow Palette is more suited for those who prefer neutrals.
If you’re already itching to get your hands on the Urban Decay Jean-Michel Basquiat collection, do note that it will be available in Malaysia next month.
