LOS ANGELES, Dec 1— John Goodman is joining upcoming sci-fi film Captive State, reports Variety

The movie is the next project from British director Rupert Wyatt, known for his work on Rise of the Planet of the Apes and The Gambler.

Details of the script and Goodman’s role are yet to be released, but it is known the film will have a sci-fi angle.

Goodman was most recently seen in Dan Trachtenberg’s 10 Cloverfield Lane, and can soon be seen in Kong: Skull Island and The Coldest City opposite Charlize Theron.

His voice talents can also be heard in next Transformers movie, Transformers: The Last Knight, as well as Luc Besson’s Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, to be released next summer. — AFP-Relaxnews
