LOS ANGELES, Dec 1 — In celebration of a musical career that has endured five decades, Neil Diamond has announced a 2017 tour of North America and Europe.

The singer and songwriter, who has sold over 125 million albums, earned Grammys and Golden Globes, plus a place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, is heading to Fresno, California on April 7, 2017. From there he will take in every major US city from Atlanta to Chicago, plus dates in Vancouver and Toronto, over 39 dates and four months, culminating in two concerts at The Forum in Los Angeles on August 10 and 12.

“Neil Diamond is more than just a music icon. His singular artistry and talent has left an indelible mark on American culture and has helped shape the sound of popular music for five decades,” said Michael Rapino, President and Chief Executive Officer of Live Nation Entertainment, the company organising the tour.

Tickets for the North American leg of the tour will officially go on sale on December 9. And expect details about European dates to follow soon after. — AFP-Relaxnews
