KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 — Malaysia are in the quarterfinals of the 2016 Women's World Team squash championship after securing their second win at Issy-les-Moulineaux, France.

The national squad led by Datuk Nicol David extended their winning streak by defeating Australia 3-0 in the third Pool C match, according to the tournament's website

Malaysia had earlier defeated the Netherlands by the same margin.

In yesterday's action, S Sivasangari put Malaysia ahead by defeating Christine Nunn in a gruelling four-setter which ended in 12-10, 9-11, 15-13, 11-8 in 51 minutes before Delia Arnold secured the second point by beating Rachael Grinham 11-9 11-9 11-7.

Nicol wrapped-up the tie by disposing of Donna Urquhart, 11-8, 11-4, 11-5 in 27 minutes.

Malaysia will square-off against Austria in their final round robin match. — Bernama
