MUMBAI, Nov 29 — Bollywood fans are well aware of Aamir Khan’s dedication to acting and this latest clip of his drastic physical transformation for his forthcoming film Dangal will certainly leave you speechless.

In the movie, Aamir plays both the younger and older versions of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and he underwent the body transformation (a whole 25kg of it!) to play the latter version of his character.

A behind-the-scenes video, which is trending with the hashtag #AamirKhanFatToFit, reveals the actor’s transition which Aamir says has been was one of the most dramatic ones in his career.

“Though I went through body building to get a certain look for my film, this (Dangal) one was one of the most dramatic body transformations so far. The film has two phases. For one part, I had to put on weight. So, I weighed 96kg with 38 per cent body fat and that I had to reduce to 9 per cent body fat within five months. That was a huge task,” Aamir was quoted as saying in reports.

On why he decided on such a drastic move for the picture, the Bollywood superstar who is known for his perfection when it comes to films, had this to say: “When you put on weight, it affects your breathing and body language. That naturally reflects on your performance. You cannot get that from a bodysuit.”

He also warned fans from following in his footsteps: “I would like to mention that putting on weight and losing it so fast is very unhealthy. I did it for my film under the supervision of experts, but it is very unhealthy for any regular person.”

Aamir will be seen as the father of wrestler Geeta Phogat, who won India’s first ever gold medal in wrestling at the Commonwealth Games in 2010 the biopic which is set for release on December 23.
