NEW YORK, Oct 19 — Actress Hilary Swank has launched her own athleisure brand, Mission Statement.

Revealing the news on her Instagram account, alongside photos and videos of her many gym workouts, the collection includes high performance sportswear alongside cashmere knits and outwear that can be layered over gym gear in keeping with the current athleisure trend.

Swank posts that, “Mission Statement is what I call aesthetic wear. What does that mean? It means clothes you can wear for any adventure — in the boardroom or at the gym, on the plane or at school, while looking stylish.”

The collection has also been designed to empower women, with Swank noting in her own mission statement on the brand’s website that, “We’re here to support each other and recognise that we’re all a work in progress, a global movement of support and community.”
