James Franco to be honoured at Deauville

LOS ANGELES, July 29 — James Franco will receive career honors at the 42nd Deauville Film Festival, running from September 2 to 11, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Franco’s directorial work, In Dubious Battle, will be screened at the festival after making its debut at the Venice Film Festival on August 31. The film is an adaptation of the John Steinbeck novel of the same name, published in 1936.

Franco, 38, has had a prolific career, with roles in Eat, Pray Love, Spring Breakers, and TV series Freaks and Geeks. He has directed, produced and written a handful of films since 2005.— AFP-Relaxnews
