KUALA PILAH, July 17 — The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry’s (KPDNKK) building or Wisma KPDNKK, which will serve as a one-stop centre for the people here, is expected to be completed in April 2018.

Its Deputy Minister, Datuk Henry Sum Agong said the two-storey building worth RM22.5 million would house agencies under the ministry.

“Among (other) organisations which would operate at the building are Bank Rakyat, Kedai Rakyat 1Malaysia, the Cooperatives Commission of Malaysia and the Companies Commission of Malaysia,” he said at the Wisma KPDNKK ground-breaking ceremony and Kuala Pilah-level parliamentary constituency Aidilfitri event here today.

Also present was Kuala Pilah Member of Parliament, Datuk Seri Hasan Malek.

Meanwhile, Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said the building would ease transactions for company registration, forming cooperatives, intellectual property registration, banking, franchise development and other transactions concerning domestic trade.

In his speech read out by Henry, he said the location for the building is strategically as it is situated in the central part of Negri Sembilan, in between Pahang remote areas and Seremban. — Bernama
