SYDNEY, Dec 26 — Australian police arrested two men on Wednesday suspected of plotting terrorist attacks.

The arrests followed raids where police seized documents showing potential government targets, a rifle and two shotguns.

One of the men arrested, Sulayman Khalid, 21, is suspected of plotting to carry out guerrilla style attacks to kill random people in the Blue Mountains.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Khalid appeared this year on SBS’s Insight wearing a jacket portraying the Islamic State flag. He also left the set when questioned about his support to Islamic State militants.

Australia revoked his passport for fears he would go abroad and join their fight.

The other man, 20, who for legal reasons cannot be named, is accused of breaching a court order by using a payphone and a mobile that were not approved by the control order.

The man rejected the accusations by saying the payphone was used to call someone who is not on a terror watch list and the unapproved mobile phone belonged to his mother.
