KUALA LUMPUR, April 18 — Acer Malaysia announced three new limited edition laptops inspired by the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War.
The new machines are basically existing models in the Acer range but customised to fit the Avengers theme and offer decent specs alongside competitive pricing.
Only eight countries in the Asia Pacific region will be selling the laptops; besides Malaysia the laptops will also be sold in Singapore, India, Hong Kong, Thailand, Taiwan, Philippines and Indonesia.
The Acer Aspire 6 Captain America edition is a deep blue with the Captain America logo emblazoned on the hood. Specs-wise it uses an Intel i5-8250U processor, dedicated NVidia GeForce MX150 graphics and 4GB of RAM (upgradeable to 16GB).
It has a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display as well as a USB 3.1 Type-C port, USB 3.0 port that supports power-off charging and two USB 2.0 ports.
Iron Man fans can instead choose the reworked Swift 3 that comes in red and the familiar Iron Man logo on the hood. It runs the same processor as the Captain America model but comes with 8GB of memory. The display is a smaller 14-inch FHD display, however.
Need something with more power? Try the Acer Nitro 5 Thanos Edition — Thanos, as Marvel fans know, is the primary antagonist for this particular story arc.
It has the more powerful i5-7300HQ processor, 8GB of memory and the NVidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card.
It has the same display size and resolution as the Captain America edition.
All the laptops are currently available for sale at official retailers, subject to stock availability and are priced at RM3,299 for the Captain America Edition, RM4,399 for the Iron Man edition and RM4,299 for the Thanos model.
