SAN FRANCISCO, Feb 19 — Apple has extended its repair program for MacBook Pros that have been exhibiting video issues.

As of February 20, 2015, owners of select 2011 to 2013 models of MacBook Pro systems that have been experiencing video issues; distorted scrambled images, no video, and unexpected system restarts; will be able to take their laptop to Apple or an Apple Authorised Service Provider for free repairs.

Affected models include 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook Pro models manufactured in 2011 and 15-inch MacBook Pros with Retina models manufactured from mid 2012 to early 2013.

The repair process will be available for customers in the US and Canada as of February 20, and roll out worldwide February 27.
