PETALING JAYA, Feb 10 — Selangor’s encouraging start to the season was ended in emphatic fashion by Terengganu today.
The Red Giants, who went into the match as Malaysian Super League leaders, lost 4-1 at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium.
Englishman Lee Tuck opened scoring in the 33rd minute.
Kipre Tchetche then starred in the second half, scoring a brace in 11 minutes.
Tuck completed his own double in the 68th minute.
Elsewhere, Pahang registered their first win by beating Kelantan 3-0 at the Darul Makmur Stadium.
Liberian Francis Forkey Doe and Gambian Mohamadou Sumareh and Nor Azam Azih struck for the Elephants.
In Lumut, Perak finally lost, going down 2-0 to PKNS.
The Kuala Lumpur-JDT clash will resume tomorrow at Cheras Stadium.
The match was stopped in the 56th minute due to heavy rain, with KL leading 1-0.
