IPOH, Jan 28 — Perak’s football team can be Malaysia’s Leicester City that beat the odds and won the English Premier League a few years ago despite the long odds, mentri besar Datuk Seri Zambry Abd Kadir said last night.

Zambry launched the team’s football kit for the new season of Malaysian Super League (MSL) which will kick off next week, at Bulatan Aman Jaya, Meru here which was attended by thousands of loyal fans.

“When Leicester won the English Premier League back in 2015, they weren’t a title contender, yet they beat all the odds to be crowned as the champions.

“Perak could do the same if we show the same fighting spirit, determination to win, discipline and never give up attitude,” he said.
