KOTA BARU, Dec 3 — The Kelantan Football Association (Kafa) has landed sponsorships worth RM2 million as preparation for the Kelantan team in the Malaysia League next season.

Its president Bibi Ramjani Ilias Khan said the sponsorships from five companies were in cash as well as attire and logistics for the squad.

“It will be of great help to us while we look for RM12 million to prepare the team next season,” she told reporters after the signing of agreements and Memorandums of Understanding with Kafa Business Partners here today.

Bibi Ramjani said Kafa was also discussing with several more companies locally and abroad on sponsoring the team and 80 per cent had responded positively to Kafa.

Meanwhile, she said Kafa was still having an accumulated debt of almost RM8 million to various parties including the team’s former players.

In this regard, she said Kafa was ready to loan its two import players to any team for their service as they were still bonded to Kafa until the next season.

The two players are strikers Abou Bakr El-Mal of Lebanon and Seydi L´Imam of Senegal.
