KOTA BARU, Nov 8 — Kelantan Football Association (Kafa) president Tan Sri Annuar Musa has decided to quit the post with immediate effect.

Annuar, 60, in his Facebook posting today said he had sent a letter to inform of his decision today to Kafa secretary-general Datuk Ismail Md Noor.

“I hope the post can be filled by someone who can contribute to the development of football in the state, just like any other state,” he said.

Annuar, Kafa president since 2008, and also the Ketereh Member of Parliament said he was always confident that Kelantan can achieve better success if given an opportunity.

Among major honours under his stewardship was winning a treble in 2012 by winning the Super League, Malaysia Cup and FA Cup.

Meanwhile, Kafa vice president Datuk Nassir Hamzah confirmed that Annuar had sent his resignation letter today.

“However, the Kafa Exco will meet to decide whether to accept or reject Tan Sri Annuar Musa’s resignation letter,” he said. — Bernama
