LOS ANGELES, Feb 6 — More than 200 items from the life and career of pop star Prince is being put up for sale by RR Auction.

Bobby Livingston, Executive Vice President of RR, said the auction is a rare opportunity to get something that belonged to Prince from someone that once worked directly with the late star.

Some of the top lots include size four stage worn purple boots with an opening bid of US$5,000 (RM19,565). A handwritten draft of Under the Cherry Moon with bidding starting at US$2,500 and a draft of the lyrics for I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man estimated at US$1,000.

The auction includes instruments, jewellery, personal notes and clothing worn by the singer.

“Prince was famously photographed for Richard Avedon for the cover of Rolling Stone and we have these pants, these purple pants that were part of the suit that he was wearing during that photo shoot. Extremely high quality, spectacular purple,” explained Livingston.

The online auction will begin on February 8 and final bids being accepted on February 15. — Reuters
