LOS ANGELES, Jan 24 — The team at Screen Junkies are back with another Honest Trailer and this time they take on Get Out which surprised many by receiving four Oscar nominations including best picture and best actor for Daniel Kaluuya.
The voiceover guy starts the clip by describing the movie as: “Forget serial killers, demons and evil clowns, because a more terrifying, inescapable, unstoppable force is coming to get you... rich white people.”
The voiceover guy also goes on to add: “Catch the film that proved once again that diversity, quality, and making loads of money aren’t mutually exclusive.”
The team also go on to point out: “Enjoy deliciously cruel casting that makes villains out of white people’s favourite white people, turning indie darlings, West Wing alum, and Girls girls into broad caricatures of society’s worst impressions of them. And if that makes you upset, now you have some inkling of how black people feel when they watch almost every other horror movie.”
