LOS ANGELES, Jan 10 — Lena Dunham has announced that she and musician boyfriend Jack Antonoff have called it quits after five years together.
According to E! News, Girls star Dunham and Bleachers frontman Antonoff, who started dating in 2012, reportedly broke up in December. The site quoted a source as saying: “It was mutual.
“Jack and Lena were growing apart and it just made sense for them to end their relationship where it was. They want the best for each other no matter what. They are both moving on.”
Yesterday, Dunham took to social media to thank fans for their supportive messages. In the Instagram video, she also shared that she is still wearing a ring that Antonoff had given her.
“I’m wearing this ring that Jack gave me and I’ll always wear it, because love is a really cool, powerful, eternal thing and it doesn’t have to be defined the way we in Western culture define it as beginnings and ends.”
