LOS ANGELES, Nov 22 — After Murder on the Orient Express, genius Belgian detective Hercule Poirot is already being prepared for a return in Death on the Nile.

Kenneth Branagh is to return as mustache-twirling super sleuth Hercule Poirot for a second Agatha Christie adaptation.

With train-bound Murder on the Orient Express in the midst of an international roll-out, the movie’s staff and studio are staying on track with plans for another murder mystery.

First published in 1937, three years after ...Express, Agatha Christie’s Death on the Nile swaps snowy mountain for regal Egyptian waterway but nonetheless maintains its mix of polite society appearances masking murderous intention.

Also jumping from one to the other is Michael Green, who created Neil Gaiman TV adaptation American Gods and wrote on Logan, Blade Runner 2049 and Alien: Covenant.

The 2017 adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express commenced worldwide release at the start of November, opening in North American and Chinese theaters on November 10, with the Brazil, India, and several Asia-Pacific territories to go before the end of the month.
