KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 13 — AirAsia has launched the ‘Dreams Come True with AirAsia’ campaign to find and nurture Association of South-east Asian Nations (Asean) music talent.

“During the nine-week campaign, AirAsia will collaborate with music platform, Spotify, to identify 20 promising musical talents from the Asean region, who will vie for a chance to perform with the airline’s Ambassador, David Foster,” it said in a statement today.

It said music fans were encouraged to stream their favourite up-and-coming artistes on Spotify during the campaign.

“The number of streams garnered during this period would determine which of the 20 artistes get to perform with Foster at one of his concerts next year,” it said.

AirAsia Group Chief Executive Officer, Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, said via this campaign, AirAsia hoped to discover, hone and promote Asean’s next big musical sensation and make a difference in the performer’s life.

“I can think of no better mentor for this task than my good friend Foster, who knows a thing or two about making hits,” said Fernandes. — Bernama
